1957-1968 Primary and Grammar School Education
1968-1971 Practical training as a stonemason and Technical School of Natural Stone – Wunsiedel.
Graduating as stone technician and studying sculpture with A. Sansoni – Wunsiedel.
1973-1974 Working as sculptor and stone technician.
1975-1981 Studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts – Nuremberg.
Study trips and working in Italy.
1982 Selected for special sponsorship by Professor Voglsamer, Master of Fine Arts degree.
Volunteer art tutor at a Bavarian Prison.
1977-1983 Exhibitions in Germany.
1983 Immigration to New Zealand, working as a stone technician in Auckland.
1985 Settling in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, building his studio at Waipiro Bay.
Receiving New Zealand Citizenship.
1991 Invited to join 'Nga Puna Waihanga' (Maori artists and writers)
1989-2013 Painting and exhibiting in New Zealand, Cook Islands, New Caledonia
and Germany.
since 2013 Living and working near Whangarei Heads – Mt Tiger, New Zealand.
